What we collect, which is almost nothing
This page describes what this website does. It is short because the site is simple.
This site collects nothing
There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no embedded third party widget. The site sets no cookies. Fonts are served from this domain rather than fetched from a font provider, so loading a page contacts no one but us.
The only thing stored in your browser is your choice of light, dark or system theme. It stays on your device, is never transmitted and is removed if you clear site data.
If you email us
Writing to contact@sofitect.com means we process what you send: your address, your message and anything you attach. We use it to answer you and, if it leads to work, to run that engagement. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry, or steps taken before entering a contract.
We keep correspondence for as long as the relationship is live and a reasonable period afterwards for contractual and tax purposes. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
Who the controller is
Which entity acts as controller depends on which one you contract with. Both are named below, and either will answer a request about your data.
Client material
Work we do for clients is a separate matter from this website. Everyone who touches a client engagement signs a confidentiality agreement and assigns intellectual property to the client. Where we process personal data on a client's behalf we do so as a processor, under their instructions and a written agreement.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to contact@sofitect.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or to ANSPDCP in Romania.
Leave with the approach, the risks and what it would take
Ninety minutes with the engineers who would do the work, on one problem you name: a processor replacement, an onboarding flow, a ledger reconciliation.
